This website provides an informational portal for the companies products and activities, while also representing the region that they come from. The website contains artist group information, product collections, recent news and a store locator.
Welcome! I'm Leigh Anne Corcoran, a Creative Designer from America now happily settled in Dublin. When not designing on my computer or scouring the internet for inspiration, you’ll find me snapping photographs around town, exploring new places, jogging or swimming at my local pool.
The Silk Road Bazaar is a wholesale representative of marginalized artist groups located in Central Asia. The company connects with artists who wish to carry on the traditional craft culture of their regions. All of the materials are locally sourced to provide sustainable livelihoods for the rural farmers, craftsmen and craftswomen.
The main mission of this website was to provide an informational portal for the company’s products and activities, while also representing the unique region that they come from. The website contains information about the artist groups, product collections, recent news and a store locator. A simple Computer Management System was integrated so the client could update the news section.

This catalogue was created for the company to both showcase the products online and to print for distribution to customers. The catalogue is minimalist in design, featuring the products and corresponding product information on a plain, white background ensuring that the product is highly visible.
Universal Republic Records, a record label previously owned by Universal Music Group, primarily focuses on “mainstream” and “urban” music. The label features chart-topping artists such as Kelly Rowland, Lil Wayne, Amy Winehouse and Jessie J.
This record label required a re-design for their website. The previous site was too cluttered with information and photographs. The challenge of this project was to create a portal that displayed a great deal of information on the homepage, such as: New Releases, Recent Videos, Tour Dates, News and Announcements for all of the featured artists.
In order to effectively display this information I approached the website much like the popular Facebook or Twitter news feed, displaying the information alongside the artist’s current profile photo. This allowed the user to easily differentiate between which artist’s information they were reading about, enabling them to easily move from the record label’s homepage to the individual artist’s page. All feeds were automatically updated whenever the artist added a video, tour date or news item.
Website & Desktop Wallpaper Designs
Rihanna is a widely known mainstream artist, signed by Island Def Jam Recordings (IDJ). Artists under the label have a bespoke artist page designed based on the artwork of their latest record. I created the design for Rihanna’s original IDJ page in 2009, based on her “Good Girls Gone Bad” album. In tune with Rihanna’s album, the design has the feel of a high-end dance club, with an airy, open feel for the content and graphics.
Her next album “Rated R” was due for release soon after the creation of the website. I designed album wallpapers based on the new artwork for fans to download in anticipation of the new record.
This wedding website was created in order to showcase the story of the engaged couple and to serve as a helpful resource for all guests attending the ceremony and reception. The website features a section about the bride and groom, bridal party, ceremony, reception and guest information: including hotels, things to do in the area and travel deals for those flying from America to Ireland and links to apply for passports.
Some features include a slideshow preview of the couple getting married which is linked to the ‘Our Story section, a Twitter feed to give the wedding guests insight into the planning process, Google maps to display the location of the ceremony and reception and a contact form for the guests to ask questions or RSVP to the event.
These printed wedding programs were designed for use during a wedding ceremony. Some typography and colours from the website www.leighandphill.com were loosely incorporated to maintain a general theme for the event. Most wedding programs are several pages long in a booklet style. This longer program design offered enough space to put all of the required information on one, 4 x 11 double sided sheet, saving both money and paper.
Website & Mobile Design
This portfolio website was created for a small website design company who recently re-branded. The company has many clients, but had no website or social media presence. The mission of this website was to create a welcoming and professional page that would attract new clients from varying industries. I created several social media profiles, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn which broadened their online exposure.
This website was created with the company’s bespoke CMS system which could not handle a responsively designed site. Therefore, after completing the main website I created a simple mobile website from scratch, which re-directs the website when accessed by a mobile phone.
Logo & Website Design Concept
This logo and website were conceptualised for a Business to Business (B2B) company specialising in the local travel advertisement and marketing industry. The logo was designed with a few other options and approved by the client. After receiving minimal site details, without specific content or direction I created a sample homepage design that could loosely be used to showcase information about the brand and gain the trust and interest of prospective clients. Once approved, the other sections were designed using the same general concept and layout. This website was not developed or launched.
This website was created for the Norwegian dance/hip hop duo Madcon. (Once signed by Universal Republic) The design was based loosely on their hit single “Beggin” (Watch Video Here) which is a semi-trippy, 1970’s style music video. The website features some of the main elements shown in the video, such as the spinning burst of light in the background and the 1970’s “groovy” fonts.
Since the website was created for the Universal Republic label, much of the content was left empty on the website by the client, due to low activity on the US and UK charts.
2009 - 2012
I worked as part of the creative team that re-designed the new Island Def Jam website in 2009. From editing and updating various website artwork to designing bespoke artist pages, every hand on deck was dedicated to this project for several months. In addition to Rihanna, I designed bespoke pages for Lionel Richie and Ida Maria, amongst others. The company has since changed the website from incorporating unique artist pages to a uniform template for all artists.
Photo Editing & Enhancement
Photographs can invoke deep feelings in people. Opportunities to edit, enhance or apply my creative skills to photography are always an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. I offer my photo restoration and colouring services to those who have older photographs with marks, discoloration, fading and other issues. After masking out and sometimes re-drawing the parts of the photograph that have deteriorated, I sharpen and enhance the levels to make the photograph more striking and new.
If colouring is also desired I aim to keep the photograph looking as natural and vibrant as possible. Once coloured, black and whites have a really interesting and unique vintage quality that many people appreciate.
I hired Leigh to support me with my website design. Having struggled with ideas and direction, Leigh provided new inspiration, concepts and fantastic designs which immediately moved the whole project forward. Leigh as a person is personable, supportive and I found listened to my business needs and could implement my vision.
Leigh is contemporary in her approach to design, reads the brief and listens intently to what is required and always delivers the results I expected. Leigh Anne is my first choice for a back-up when I don't have enough web design resource in my own company!
Leigh Anne did an amazing job for us here at UMG, and took on a number of our highest profile assignments. I heartily recommend Leigh Anne for front-end web design and development work.
Leigh is a great website designer, from concept right through to the final product. Leigh has a great professional direction to any project she faces and executes to the highest standard. She's a great person to work with and an inspiration to us all.
